Banff Park Lodge – Best Value of 4 Start Banff Lodge

Why Banff Park Lodge is one of my favorite Banff lodges?

It takes only a 4 to 5 minutes walk to the most active and vibrant part of the Banff townsite with it’s restaurants, cafes, galleries, shops, movie theatre.

My brother stayed here during our wedding in Banff.  His room is big and has balcony. The room was very nice, and very clean.

What impressed him was the comfy bed and beautiful mountain view. He was not really paying attention to how dated the room was and need be renovated. He just felt very cozy and comfortable to stay there. All for a good price.

NOTE: Not all rooms are out of date. This lodge has been renovated gradually.

He did not have a chance to try the pool and hot tub, but we went to check out with him. The hot tub and pool was spotless, lots of towels for use, an excellent sauna and a small but useful fitness area – all these amenities were put to good use.

The staff were incredible friendly and helpful. This always makes the stay more pleasant.

He had breakfast at restaurant in the lodge before the airporter shuttle took him directly to Calgary airport. He told me his breakfast was really good.

Another nice thing about the lodge, the bow river is just behind of the lodge and it is really nice walk.

If you are looking for a location to host a conference they also have several meeting rooms.

If you ski, the buses to the ski resorts pick up and drop off at the hotel, making it super convenient.

How to Choose Your Room of Banff Park Lodge

You can’t get a bad room here, the standard rooms are really large and very comfortable.

You will have better room choice if you check in before 3:00 pm

The 2nd and 3rd floor rooms facing the back – watch the morning sunshine light up the mountains from the comfort of your bed.

The 3rd floor is quieter. If you’re on the north end, you get a view of Cascade Mountain.

They have jacuzzi tubs in some rooms so ask for that if you want.

If you want quiet, ask for Cascade wing back side.

There are some rooms are renovated, some are not. You can ask for renovated one.

If you want mountain view, make sure you do ask for it.
