If you want to find a public outdoor location for your ceremony, the following locations that I can think of are for your reference:

Indoor & Outdoor Venues

Many Banff hotels offer wedding packages and make it possible to have your accommodations, ceremony and reception in the same location.

If you are going to have an elaborate wedding ceremony, the followings my favorite Banff wedding venues are for your reference. There are many more not listed here.

Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel – one of the most popular venues for wedding celebrations, such a huge selection of function rooms, hallways, staircases, terraces you won`t run out of spots for your wedding photos!
Buffalo Mountain Lodge – Rustic, Fairy Tale, Mountain, indoor or outdoor up to 100, outdoor is at Tunnel Mountain Meadow.
Rimrock Resort – clings to the edge of Sulphur Mountain, and the lobby offers some excellent views for photos; some of the function rooms are also reported to have great mountain views.
Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise hotel – where “happily-ever-after” begins. Enveloped by soaring mountain peaks, the majestic Victoria Glacier and a glistening emerald lake, the natural beauty of this popular wedding destination permeates every nook of the historic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise resort.
Mt Norquay ski area – the desk of the resort (and adjoining indoor facilities) is available throughout the year for a private location up on the ski hill.
Banff Park Lodge – offers views of the Bow River in Banff townsit.
The Juniper Hotel & Bistro – offers unique indoor venue options with beautiful views as well as the patio mentioned above.
The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre – offers indoor and outdoor facilities, onsite catering, and offers excellent mountain views.
Silvertip Resort – offers breathtaking scenery. We attended the wedding ceremony of my best friend here. We enjoyed the scenery and food here.
Emerald Lake Lodge – Cilantros at Emerald lake provides a perfect indoor setting for an intimate ceremony, exchange vows inside and then head out to the beautiful Emerald Lake for your pictures! Note: Emerald Lake locates in Yoho National Park, 25 miles west of Lake Louise.

My best friend had wedding ceremony in Silvertip Resort. The ceremony was outdoor with fantasy view. We went there twice for wedding rehearsal and wedding ceremony. The food and service were very impressed.

The wedding also complemented by Harp Angel – Harpist Deborah Nyack.

Adventure Weddings

Heli-Weddings – WOW! Take the ride of your lifetime, up in a helicopter to a top of the world destination for your wedding ceremony – perfect for those who want some adventure incorporated into their day!
Canoe Wedding – you can rent Canoe at Lake Louise or Moraine Lake for your wedding ceremony.
Ski Wedding – Sunshine Skiing Resort, Lake Louise Resort, Norquay Ski Resort, Nakiska Ski Resort (in Kananaski country – just outside of Banff National Park).
Horse Riding or Horse Back Wedding.
Lake Cruise Wedding – At Lake Minnewanka, your wedding or reception can take place on the mountain-rimmed lake in a tour boat.
